What I build

Platforms that have to actually do something: take bookings and payments, run memberships, release content on a schedule, and be found by the people looking for them. It starts with the one that runs my own business.

An admin screen with a movable content block, a formatting toolbar and a text editor

My own platform

dadhugsforyoursoul.com

My own platform, with thousands of paying customers. I designed it, built it and run it myself.

  • Paid packs released one day at a time, with a daily email for each day
  • A paid membership on monthly and yearly Stripe subscriptions
  • An admin editor anyone can use, with no developer needed

Visit the site

The home page of Brittney Emley Wellbeing, with a photo of Brittney teaching yoga outdoors

Client site, live

Brittney Emley Wellbeing

A yoga and breathwork teacher whose old site could not take a single booking. Her new one was live and taking bookings within a week of our first conversation.

  • Private sessions, class blocks and retreat days, booked and paid for online
  • Confirmations, calendar invites and reminders from her own email address
  • An admin where she changes her own times, prices, words and photos

  • A client app with each day's workout, habits, and a voice note from her every week
  • A leads board and a Grow page that help her find clients, written in her own voice

Working example, for practitioners

The Steady Years

An example platform for a menopause coach, designed around the 3am wake-ups her clients describe. The whole site reads as one night, from 3am to morning. Click through it yourself.

  • Visitors plot their own night and are pointed to the session that fits
  • Calls, sessions, workshops and a twelve-week package, booked and paid for on her own site
  • A free sleep guide that builds her own mailing list

Three phone screens from Round Table League: the home page with an episode countdown, how the game works, and a shareable results card

Side project, live

Round Table League

An unofficial fantasy league for The Celebrity Traitors, built for the series and played every week alongside it, mostly on phones.

  • Predict each episode's murder and banishment, with picks that lock automatically when it starts
  • Leagues anyone can start for their office or friends, plus a national leaderboard
  • Results entered once after each episode, with everyone's points updated and emailed out

Unofficial, and not affiliated with the BBC.

Six gold circles labelled jobs, training, meals, housing, wellbeing and community, joined to a centre point

Design study

The ripple

A short piece of animated storytelling, controlled by the scroll, built to load fast on a phone.

  • Everyday purchases dropping into water and rippling out into impact
  • Shows the finished picture with no animation for anyone who prefers less movement

Previews built for real businesses

Before anyone pays me anything, I build them a working preview of their new site. I keep every preview private unless the business says I can show it, so these are described without names.

A CQC training provider

A booking platform for courses that care homes attend in groups.

What's in it
  • Course dates with places remaining, updated as people book
  • Group bookings of up to ten places in one go
  • Pay by card, or choose for the employer to be invoiced
  • An admin area listing every booking and every invoice still to send
  • A five-question readiness check that points each visitor to the right course

A founders and investors community

A members' platform for a curated network that vets everyone who joins.

What's in it
  • An application form for founders, mentors, investors and partners
  • One-click approval, so an approved applicant becomes a member
  • A members' directory, filterable by role
  • Events with separate member and guest pricing
  • A page for sponsors and partners

A cell and gene therapy manufacturer

A site rebuilt around being found in search, for a business that offered far more than it ranked for.

What's in it
  • A page for every service, written around the searches buyers actually make
  • Structured data on every page, so search engines understand what each one is
  • A preview of how each page would appear in Google, for the client to review
  • A project enquiry form that routes each lead to the right team

A B2B content consultant

A site that untangles three businesses that used to share one long page.

What's in it
  • A client logo wall organised by sector, so visitors find their own world
  • A reel of panels and interviews, with video that loads only when played
  • An enquiry form that already knows which service the visitor came from
